Case Brothers?
I do not collect Case, so I know little to nothing about Case Brothers. That said, what do you all think of this knife? The design just seems too modern for a 1910-1920's knife.

That is as bad a fake as you're likely to see.

Okay...we know it ani't a Case knife. Can anyone tell me what a "hot point test " is? That's the only thing that threw me...

Re: Case Brothers?
That's what I thought. A fantasy item.
Pretty frame, though. I wonder what it really is?
Having said what I did about it appearing to be "too modern", I thought of this old Robeson that I have. This knife, along with fourteen other new patterns was introduced by Robeson just before Christmas in 1910. I have a full page color ad from the inside front cover of The Saturday Evening Post, date Dec 3rd, 1910, showing all fifteen patterns.
This knife is very nicely etched, "ShurEdge" in the script logo on the master blade.
I saw a Amherst jack very similar to this knife in another forum the other day.

Re: Case Brothers?
That fake Case Brothers pattern looks like a Cripple Creek pattern knife i had once. I like the pattern but don't care much for the fake. I wonder what that frame was from originally?
