That is a very fine looking Canoe, tvic. The shield is very well done; the whole knife has a wonderfully rustic appearance.

Got the “pot o gold” canoe version of the lucky clover canoes by Case. Here are pictures of it and the other one with black instead of gold. The black and green is one of 500 while the gold and green is one of 100.

1st I'm Cheap
2nd I don't buy Chinese made knives
I have been fascinated by the canoe pattern for years but never found anything that I was willing to spend $ on, untill today. Queen RAWHIDE no. 1405 made in 81 Love it maybe I shouldn't have been so tight and got a canoe years ago
3rd I'm stupid and don't know how to down load a picture. ::dang::

Mark,

The only Case canoes I own are from the 1970’s, which I definitely like. They bring me this feeling of being in nature for some reason, don’t know if anyone else gets that vibe from older Case canoes.

However these newer Case canoes you have are absolutely gorgeous. Makes me want to seek out a shamrock. Thanks for sharing those!!

Thanks Doglegg

Trinton, I don’t think they make them differently from the earlier ones, I doubt that you would be disappointed in buying a newer one, especially when they look this nice. Thanks for the compliment.

This pocket knife arrived very recently in a large group of pocket knives that I bought. I did NOT buy the group to obtain this particular pocket knife. Actually, I had no idea that this pocket knife was in the group. It is a FROST CUTLERY, two blades, two tang stamps, main blade etch, 3 5/8" closed, canoe pattern pocket knife. The main blade tang stamps read "FROST CUTLERY" with the logo on one blade side and "JAPAN - SURGICAL - STEEL" on the other side. The blade etch shows two Native Americans in a canoe and it also says "CANOE." It is in EXCELLENT condition and it did NOT need any cleaning at all. I took some pictures and here it is.

Nice score, and I like the colors in the wood. Looks like a plywood or something, do you know what they call it? Congrats.

Just real thin colored laminated wood, sanded so the center is higher than the ends, and you wind up with that effect showing off the different colors.

Nice looking Knife Skip. Steve is on point. Back in the day people used to generically call it "Frost Wood" It was prominent for a while with a lot of Frost made Knives. I used to Jokingly call it Peacock Bone. ::super_happy::
