Ha! The polarizing Russlock! It is kind of a love/hate knife. I find them interesting. I think 50 years from now collectors will look back at them and say "What were they thinking?" Well, they actually do that now!Madmarco wrote: ↑Mon Jan 17, 2022 1:33 amThere's that thoughtful spouse of yours looking after you again Kerry!toomanyknives wrote: ↑Sat Jan 15, 2022 6:58 pm My lovely wife picked this one up for me the other day just because she thought I needed another blue knife! You've gotta' love a woman that thinks like that! NOS Navy Blue Russlock from 2018..
IMG_2074 (2).JPGYou really must take her out for a night on the town sometime soon!
She has excellent taste in knives, well, except for the Russlock of course!
Never cared for them, never will!
The vivid blue covers certainly are attractive though!
Congrats!

You’re welcome Jerry.jerryd6818 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 16, 2022 5:17 pm Picked this up for a pittance and busted the handles (synthetic) trying to install a shield.
Case 1982 Mini-Trapper 6207 SP SSP Synthetic -Labeled.JPG
So I contated Jeff to see if he would give it the spa treatment. He said yes and this is what it looks like now. Thank you Jeff.
Those synthetic handles literally crumbled in my hands when I was disassembling your knife.

An otherwise dreary day was considerably brightend with the arrival of the S&M 5" Cokebottle with worm groove handles. Everything snappy and tight. As the seller pointed out, the blade edge was not very sharp. Spending a few minutes with rod and a charged leather strop fixed that right up. Whenever he has one Sharpnshiny Knives includes a padded zippered pouch which I appreciate.

Nice stuff coming out of the mail boxes around here!
Had a couple packages arrive yesterday ,both from members here . One box came with some Razor boxes from Our friend Ike. Which by the way came with 2 extra little surprises. A very nice Catt and Robeson . The knives weren’t part of the deal . Thank you much Ike got the Catt in pocket . Both have some nice bone covers and are right up my alley .
The next is a Electric Cut co. Purchased from Galvanic1882 . It’s just as Mike said ,and very happy with the purchase. Extremely well built knife .Nice crisp jigged bone
Thank you Ike and Mike .

Ronald posted this one in another thread. I emailed my interest in it (due to the Canada stamp) and he was kind enough to send it to me at no charge.
I won this Schrade 858 Lumberjack in a giveaway hosted over on BF by Bruce (Old Hunter). It is large knife at 4 5/8".

Beauties, all!
that S&M is striking. That’s also a particularly clean 858, that’s a model on my bucket list.
I had a good week as well. Managed to pick up this calf roper without breaking the bank.

Those 858’s are a handful! I’ve reworked a few of those recently and I like them a lot. Looks like you got a really nice one too!
