Imperial knife
Can anyone date this knife? I have looked at various posts with Imperial tang stamps through the years, but have not come across anything that provides any formation on this tang stamp. I have also scowled through many images of Imperial knives and have not seen what I have.
Thank you

I think I know that the first Delrin factory was built in 1960 so this knife dates to after that. My wife has informed me that my 'facts' are actually opinions much of the time, so now I say "I think I know."

I've got this one but don't really know much about it. Great little knife. Welcome to the forum.

Re: Imperial knife
It looks like the same tang stamp as this Imperial Diamond Edge 353 that I have. A post in one of the other forums dates the 353 to the early 1970’s. Im not sure if that applies to your knife or not.

Looks like KEEN KUTTER made the K3935 HAMMER FORGED and this IMPERIAL.

Keen Kutter didn't make anything. It is a trademark, not a cutlery. Imperial and Schrade made Keen Kutters and I think other cutleries did, also.

Re: Imperial knife
Your post is over a year old, tongue, but do you think Schrade made these Hammer Forged folders? Or Imperial? Mine definitely isn't a shell. Thanks!tongueriver wrote: ↑Wed Jan 19, 2022 11:18 pm Keen Kutter didn't make anything. It is a trademark, not a cutlery. Imperial and Schrade made Keen Kutters and I think other cutleries did, also.
