Whatsit?

Post by Unk »

A buddy found this at a feed store here in Texas. It had a square end (until he asked me to round it off), and there is a bevel down the center of the blade. It is very cheaply made, but sharpened up nicely.

He suggested it may be a square-end leather upholstery knife? I am leaning in that direction myself. Any one have any other feedback?

Thanks in advance.

Most Frost brand knives are imported from either China or Pakistan, and generally have low value. They do make great users though, and I own a few of them.
The country of origin is usually etched onto the back of a blade to and easily wears off.
From the jigging pattern on the bone of yours I suspect it was made in Pakistan during the 1990's, but I may be wrong. That is just a guess.

Regardless, as pointed out in replies to your other post about the knife, it’s got severe problems - looks like a broken spring.
