Case xx Bowie knife restoration

Knife belonged to my father who recently passed, he found it buried on Pensacola beach in the early 80s. Not sure how old it really is and was wondering if anyone had any insight on finding out. No dots so before 1970 so I've read. Not interested in it's value, obviously in rough shape but could be interested in a good place to get it professionally restored. Any info would be great, thanks. Oh, and slightly interesting, the tip is magnetic, about the last inch or so. Not sure how that came to be or if it's normal.

Not sure when it was made but I believe it is a more modern knife from the 70's. Looks to have had some work done on the handle as the rivets should be brass but look to be steel. Maybe someone knows here for sure.

I don't think having any restoration attempted would add much value to the knife.

I do not know much about Case knives, so I have no idea about the age, but I agree that restoring it would only decrease the value.
I would oil it, sharpen it, and find (or make) a sheath for it. A knife like that deserves to be used. Unless I am wrong and it is an antique, of course.
