That is one tough customer you have there Garry! Remember back a couple weeks when you said my new auto stiletto looked like it was made for one reason and one reason alone, well, when I look at this knife of yours fighting and killing are what first comes to mind! I wish I'd been aware of Al Mar knives way back when, because I'd have purchased some models then before their prices sky-rocketed! I would feel safe just about anywhere if I had your fighter hangin' from my hip!

Marco, I am sure that blade was designed to slice pineapples in the field. As a Green Beret Mr. Mar knew how to live off the land.

And I'm sure it would have sliced through those tough ole' pineapples with ease Garry!

It is true that among some of the hill tribes of RVN pineapples can refer to an enemy's
head.

Re: Show off your fixed blades!
My son came home for Christmas and totally surprised me with this Christmas gift; custom made with a birds-eye pattern, Damascus steel blade and and Walrus/Burl grips. He asked me if I was going to use it, wants me to skin out and butcher a deer, so I will next season. I was thunderstruck that he chose so well - it is a very nice build quality as well. Never owned a Damascus steel blade before either. OH

Re: Show off your fixed blades!
Thanks gentlemen, I do hate to use it, but he’s asked me to, so I will at least once. Looking at it reminds me in style of a Buck model which I don’t remember the model number of right now. OH

Thanks Marco. If I was into skinning animals this is the knife I would likely use. I think it is a fine design;it fits my hand perfectly.

You are right OH. It was the ergonomics that sold me on the knife. It is, IMHO, an exceptional accomplishment in design.
