Really cool, John! I wonder how many old Standard knives there are out there?
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

Gotten a bit behind on knives for my personal collection. Got this one a week ago from Gary Kennedy. Tuna Valley Old Man Norman Barlow, mammoth ivory handles. These are so well built. Feels like a knife you could pass down from generation to generation. Very loud snap. Plus it looks fantastic.

Thank You John. That would be a good guess. This was made by Case for their Family Brands line. I wouldn’t mind scoring an original!! 🤩

On a scale of 1 to 10, your Barlow clearly rates a 12, Mark.

This arrived very recently in a group of pocket knives that I bought. This particular pocket knife was NOT the target of my purchase. I do NOT collect Barlow pattern or style pocket knives. It is an Imperial, two blades, 3 3/8" closed, two tang stamps, "Barlow" pocket knife. Nice "Hammer Brand" stamp on the bolster. It needed some cleaning. Except for the tiny nick in the main blade, both blades are in much better condition than they look. I took some pictures and here it is.

I used to dislike Barlow knives, but they have grown on me the last few years, along with an appreciation of Imperials.

Got in this Queen made Robeson Barlow a few days ago. I don’t have one in stag and this one has a crack that reaches from the center pin to the bolster on the pile side. I usually don’t buy any knife with cracks or chips, but these are so hard to get that I couldn’t pass it up. I’m sure I overpaid for it, but man it’s just so pretty.

In this case brother, who cares if it has a crack! The knife itself more then makes up for it... ::woot::
Beautiful example of a pattern I should, but don't, collect.
