That's the first time I remember seeing that in pattern books I have or have seen.

Very interesting. I have mostly associated the fish knife with Czech firms, and in fact, a Czech firm (Mikov) is pretty much the only company still making them. It is my understanding, that within Eastern Europe, they are traditional as a boy's first knife, and often used for mushroom hunting. I've not seen a German-made one, but I'm sure they exist. I found one on eBay in the shape of a fish, in the form of a bartender's knife (fins formed a cap lifter) with blade and corkscrew, but that's the closest I came up with.
That pistol knife is also odd, as it's something I mostly associate with cheap novelty knives.
