help wanted-stumped rock hound wants ID for hone

This hone has been giving me fits trying to ID it.

I need to know this stuff to figure it out 'accurately':

1) material/type/brand the hone is made of/by: ie natural blue - green Thuringian Escher (I wish), synthetic barber (don’t know if this word is a generic 'type' or what it's used for?), synthetic Carborundum 101, Washita, natural Belgium coticle, natural Charnley Forest etc

2) country of origin: Germany, USA, England, France etc

3) best lubricant to use with: ie water, oil, lather, WD-40 etc

4) best for sharpening: straight razors (SRs), pocket knives, machetes, machinist tools etc,

and last but not least

5) suggested retail price

This is a generic form that I’ll be posting for both the razor and pocket knife forums.

I'll be putting a majority of stones and hones up for sale sometime 1st quarter next year; stay tuned. This type of data will be indispensable so as to portray an accurate presentation for any buyer to feel comfortable that he/she's receiving the right gadget.

The bottom line is just to please put in as much in as you can of the five (5) questions and I'll take it from there.

It'll definitely be a fun learning experience for me.

Oops, I forgot to put some photos of the main one I needed ID'd:

Although somewhat blurred, the 2nd photo w/o the ruler is a better representation of the true color.

This li'l booger could turn out to be the 'diamond in the rough' or just a dud. Who knows?

I'm posting these shots as soon as soon as they shoot out of my photo mill which is working concurrently with my typing.

This is the best likeness of the true color of this hone so far. It almost appears like the color of desert sand.

more angled depictions to nail it down tight:

The guesstimate of the thickness looks to be 1/2 or 5/16 if ya wanna be a scientist type

The primary focus of this angled view is to accent a few of the striations and slight spotting (either natural or manmade?) on the patina of this guy (I’m not politically correct; can't get into it ). Also, the space to the left of the red line should be disregarded: bleached out from excessive light intensity.
