Today's mail brought me this beauty. This 3 1/2" Congress sports the loveliest premium Buffalo Horn I have ever had the pleasure of seeing. Lots of snappy walk and talk. Each blade has half stops. This is a fine example of the superior materials and craftsmanship Henckels required.

Now ain't that a purty knife! ::nod::
Garry, I think the congress pattern could grow on a feller. I have several but have never carried one, those two big sheep foot blades could sure be useful. I suppose that one will not get too much pocket time. ::hmm::

Glad you are so happy with it Garry. I appreciated your feedback on this. It was hard to not put that one in my Congress collection. If I didn’t have so dog gone many Congresses, it would have.

SOG Kiku XR. Sharpening might be a challenge but I welcome the experience if I decide to use the knife. This is WAY more knife than I need but I just had to have it.

Found this one on eBay going (what I considered) cheap and pulled the trigger. It came in yesterday's mail and I just discovered I already have one. ::dang::

I finally got these 3 knives today after they were stranded in B.C./Canada for the past 2 weeks due to the intense flooding out that way! They were definitely worth the wait! 8)

Thanks, Mark. Yes, she is a beast! I had myself talked out of it until they reduced the price for Black Friday. I caved as soon as I saw that.

treefarmer, I know some think if a knife is not used it is wasted. I understand that viewpoint; seeing the knife as a tool is valid. But exceptional beauty and precision lead me to preserve it. I am hoping that one day others will experience the same appreciation.

John, thanks for your affirmations.

Mark, Your recommendations for me are always top notch. I have never been disappointed in your inventory.

Willy, just wanted to clarify; the covers are Buffalo Horn rather than bone.

Marco, The Horn is so fine I also initially thought it was MOP at first glance.

Thank you Garry, I always appreciate your comments! I'd been watching that knife for awhile due to how clean it appears, even when closed the flipper is barely visible, and when open it disappears completely leaving it displaying only a blade that flows into the handle, and nice even choils. It was the least expensive of the 3 as well! 8)

Here is a Buck oddity from the 300 series. The 332 Barlow in yellow sawcut delrin. This was only made for a year and was only available from SMKW.

It's a weird one. It has a half stop. I don't think any other Buck has that. These were made by Camillus. But I really think if Buck made one like this with the nice handles they use now and the 420HC steel, they would sell well.
