Browning U.S.A. Trapper/Buck 301

Post by kootenay joe »

Here is a 4 1/8" Trapper, marked "Browning/U.S.A." on the clip blade tang, and with jigged hardwood handles. The pull for the spey blade is on the pile side.
Which USA manufacturer made this knife and approximately when.
The second knife is a Buck 301. Am i correct that this is an early one made by Schrade in about 1967 ?
Thanks for the help.

The Browning was made by Queen. Late 70's to 80's.

I have owned them with smooth wood handles, never seen one with jigged wood.

You are correct on the Buck 301...made by Schrade, and a scarce one.

I collect Browning USA's and have never seen one with jigged scales.
