Antique Show Finds Eloi & Etched Western States Stockman

Post by galvanic1882 »

I picked up these 2 at an antique show in, sorry Fran, Allentown yesterday. The Eloi coin knife will be going on the block but the other is a different story.

I was at the show by chance after seeing our Daughter and grandkids friday night so instead of driving all the way home from Reading we decided to stay the night in Allentown and low and behold the next day we found out there was a small antique show. The coin knife I noticed in the first booth. The Western States was hidden under some small boxes and I would have missed it but when I asked to see a pearl handled knife the lady knocked the boxes aside and I noticed the celluloid on the Western States.

It's the first Western States I have ever owned and it is really a well made knife.

I don't like that place Mike, it's a dump, so I never go to shows there. ::td:: I'm glad you had some success. ::nod::

I was free for breakfast though ! ::huff::

The place where I find the 1930's unused IXL's for $2, full bladed ShurSnaps for $20, and the '50's boxed Queen winterbottom steak knives for $20, was 5 minutes from where you were.

SO THERE ! ::tounge::

Fran,

You've gained 40lbs in 3 years, dining out, since you've retired. Maybe you should start walkin' to those knife shows :D

Mathematically put:

dining out + retirement = 205(current weight) - 165(weight of 3 years ago); difference of 40 lbs weight gain in 3 years retirement time.

... and please don't lynch me if I'm wrong Fran :mrgreen: (I never was one fer math)
