Aw, thanks John! Take a look at my new auto in "Comfort Knives" posted just now, you'll see a really cool knife! Also, did you ever get yourself a 3-bladed "Speed Hunter", because there's a 1-blader scrolling across the top right now, and the same seller has 3 others all 3-blader's, some in stag, some in Brazilian horn available. Don't know if they're in your price range though!

My only gripe about pocket clips is about how little attention some knife manufacturers pay to the design of the clip.

Some clips are left with the bottom of the clip flipped up... (Rather than flattened)

The upward portion sometimes catches on items if you brush by to closely

Yep.
With the screws replaced without the clip it locks in too close to the body (the top screw doesn't secure into the knife it just steadies the bolster) and jams up the action. If the screws are left even a wee bit loose the bolster shakes, rattles and rolls. I suppose I could find someone to cut down (or dremel?) the clip so where it just seats under the screw and body (not my stick) or find some tiny washer set-up?
It sure looks and FEELS so much better without. Thanks fella's.

The one's that amaze me are the high-end model knives that cost hundreds of dollars and they put a cheap thin piece of wire for the clip.

A lot of these modern knives seem to be equipped with pocket clips which to me on some of these knives seem to interfere with the action especially on autos and spring assisted. Do most just live with that or remove these extremities?

Personally, I detest the modern tactical "zombie killers" but I do have a few. (I'm entitled to my opinion ) Most all of the newer style knives, especially the tacticals have pocket clips. Lots of times when I am working around our place I carry a tactical in the breast pocket of my bib-overalls. It makes the knife very accessible no matter what position I might find myself in, sitting, standing, laying down under a piece of equipment, on a ladder, easy access to a blade I don't really care about. As long as it will cut or scrape it'll work for me. On the other hand, there will most always be a traditional folding knife in one of my front pockets, bibs, jeans, shorts or Sunday-go-to-meetin' britches, something I do care about and will not abuse unless it is a real necessity.
After you carry a traditional folder loose in your pocket for way over 60 years it hard to become stylish and start using a knife with a clip.

A raggedy old SOG, in the breast pocket, ready for use.

If it breaks, if I lose it, there's always another "zombie killer" in a drawer or box some where close.

If this ol' #49 Queen goes missing, the world will have to stop while we do a thorough search. This ol' gal will cut a sandwich, peel an apple or orange, gut a deer but won't be used as a gasket scraper or a pry bar.

That clip is still butt-ugly, but if having it installed makes the knife operate properly you'll just have to live with it! I'm just glad that it's not my decision! EDIT: Wait, I'm confused! Are you asking which picture looks better, because the picture with the clip on looks exactly the same as when you first posted it, or are you only using the original picture to make a comparison of how it looks with and without? EDIT 2: Upon enlarging your picture I see you added washers to the bottom bolster screws, is that why you're asking "More better?" ?

Tazman Tom sent me the Pirhana "Virus" and it is waiting in the mailbox. (My landlord will bring it in tomorrow). It comes with a pocket clip that I'll be using without reservation. The Titanium pocket clip will keep my "pocket auto" handy, and the S30V steel blade should be razor-sharp.

The knife will be both convenient and discreet. What more do I need?
