Fine looking knives, Marco. The micarta handles look very good on both. And I enjoy the swoopy curves of the Bow Trapper.

Today the mailman was very nice to me. He brought an eBay purchase and two online shopping batches. Here is what I got.
Marble's Dave Canterbury Scout King Pocketknife
Rough Ryder Brown Stag Bone Jumbo Stockman
Rough Ryder Buckshot Bone Copperhead
Rough Ryder Stockman VG-10 (qty 2 Christmas gifts)
Rough Ryder Reserve Swell Center Whittler D2 Black
Rough Ryder Reserve Easy Open Sway Back Tan
Rough Ryder Reserve Hedgehog D2 Black Micarta
Rough Ryder Reserve Common Stock D2 Black Micarta
Boker Tree Brand Barlow 493 Saw Cut Delrin
I went through all of them and cleaned and oiled them up. No time to shoot photos, but I'll do that over the next week when I get a chance. I'm extremely happy with all of them, except for the Marble's.

Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
I'm not sure if it's a design issue or someone just didn't finish my knife. The can opener has a very long beak, but it is completely unsharpened. The blade side of the beak is like a blank knife before they grind the edge into it. On my old Camillus Cub Scout knife, the can opener was ground to be a little sharp- not as sharp as the blades, but not totally blunt like this. The reamer has a little edge on it, but it's too big and blunt to use on leather, which is where I would use it. Another big problem is the placement of the nail nick on the pen blade. They did a little cutout to make room for your finger, but it isn't enough. It is completely impossible to open that blade without using the folded paper trick. It has a little gapping in the back springs, but that is something I could live with. The design flaws make it a lot less functional than it should be. I think I'm going to try the Rough Ryder Carbon Steel II one and see if that is better.Quick Steel wrote: ↑Sat Nov 06, 2021 10:32 amThat is quite a haul bigshot. I chafe at spending a lot of money on a vintage Boy Scout knife. They were cheap knives back then. Paying a hundred bucks for one is too much. I just want a nice, cheap scout knife that works. Nothing fancy.

Got this one in the mail today. A beautiful knife that came with a felt carrying case. I guess if that's what you want to put it in with some other items when traveling.
I'll put my review and more pic's over in the My Latest Boker thread.

Received this Craftsman hone to go with the Craftsman knives . The little POWRKRAFT 84-64 Stainless to go with other etched blades and the Schrade Walden 863 to go with the other swell center Carpenter/ Whittler types in the Collection . As for the Schrade Cut Co. “Say it with Flowers “ little Pruner got that cheap and had to adjust blade as it was peeking and in rough shape. Will put a edge on this one and use it around the back yard this Next year.

Today's mail brought me this one-of-a-kind very unique Ukrainian built automatic! More pictures and complete explanation on how it operates can be seen and read in the "Switchblade Collectors" forum, in the last post of the "Some of my autos" thread!

Yesterday I received this Henckels/Boker Stockman clad in Cocobolo wood. For use, I prefer smooth covers e.g. wood, bone, etc. Good W&T. The details of the knife show that care and attention were used during its manufacture. The angled bolsters nicely set off the cocobolo wood. The blades are perfectly centered with not the slightest blade rub and all transitions are smoothly joined.

Thank you Cudgee, In my description the word run should have been rub, as in no blade rub.
