I've been getting interested in auto knives of late. Both vintage and and new tacticals. I just won a vintage Edgemaster and a Challenge Cutlery from Mark Erickson on the SD auction site which I will post when they arrive. Meanwhile, I just got this Hubertus Gaurdian in the mail. It has really, really nice stag and locks up like a fixed blade. I can't stop playing with it.
This also just arrived ( one on the bottom ) Colt M-16-K dual action, also very cool.

Re: Hubertus lever lock
I have a Hubertus that I have had since 1988. It is the large sized version with two blades, one is the auto spear point blade and the other is the folding saw blade. The saw blade has a screwdriver tip, and a bottle opener, along with the saw. I bought it from a guy who tinkers with knives and this one he had tinkered on some of the prettiest pearl grips you have ever seen, will try to get a pic up but don't hold your breath, with the large slabs of pearl it really gives this knife some heft. Both blades are as tight as can be, and have no blade play. He also polished all the nickel silver fittings while it was down receiving the pearl grips. At 21 years of age....probably older....it still snaps like the day I bought it.
