Klaas, Robi Klaas or also Kissing Crane knives were originally a high quality brand produced in Solingen, Germany. I'm not sure if they still produce any knives there but you can still buy Klaas knives that were produced there at some point in time. You can tell the difference between the real "Made in Solingen" knives & the newer "Made in China" Klass knives by the price tags. A real "Made in Solingen" knife will be in the same price class as a comparable Case knife. The imported Klaas knives are in the price class of imported RR, Mables or Schrade knives. I don't have any made in China Schrade knives but I do have a few RR & one Mables from China. IMO the imported Klaas knives blow these out of the water. They are really well made. At least the 5 or so that I have.Quick Steel wrote: ↑Sun Nov 07, 2021 8:59 am Tom, I always like smooth covers on my using knives. I have not had exposure to Klass knives. Google tells me that they are all made in Solingen.
Yet the retail prices are quite low which surprises me. Can you tell me anything about this brand? Thanks.

On a foot note: I believe,

Hope this helps QS. My conclusion: Made in China Klass knives are as good as, if not even a bit better than, a normal RR & well worth their price. All IMO.

Oh, & the smaller Klaas pen knife is a Solingen knife.
