Another Pint Barlow showed up today. This one is pearl and from 2010, a part of the anniversary series, so there should have been 600 of these made. Like all the pearl handled Schatt and Morgan pearl knives, there is no brass on this knife. The pearl isn’t especially fiery but it is pretty nice.

Skip, Only ATLAS I know of was Atlas Works, a J.Russell product from the 1880's. That one doesn't appear to be one??? Good Luck. J.O'.

This pocket knife was just one in a small group that I recently purchased. But, not for this particular pocket knife. It is an ATLAS, 2 blades, 3" closed, single tang stamp, "Barlow" style pocket knife. All of the ATLAS pocket knives that I could find on-line, had a tang stamp that read ATLAS (over) JAPAN. Mine just says ATLAS. Was it made in Japan? I suppose JAPAN could have been ground off. But, I see no evidence of that. What years would be involved with this knife? 1960's? Pre 1960's? Post 1960's? I cleaned it up a bit, took some pictures and here it is.

Goins list the following.
"Atlas Cutlery Co. Bradford PA. c. 1961-1965. This firm was originally in California. They were importers of cutlery made in Japan. The firm moved to Bradford PA in 1961."

By the way this knife is not a Barlow.

That particular knife is not a barlow. Better described as a bare - head jack.
A barlow has a longer bolster, near 1/3 the length of the knife .. .. ..
