Glad you've joined us.
I checked out your post about your grandfathers knife. A knife like that is worth a lot more than it would be otherwise due to the sentimental value it has for you. If it were mine, I'd get someone like Orvet (Dale) or Muskrat Man to make the needed repairs. It may take a while for either one to get to it, but it would be worth the cost and worth the wait. That's my opinion for whatever it's worth.
