Sunfish ??
Until I can find one to hold, I can't decide about these knives. However, I would appreciate opinions from those who have them. Which would make the best EDC, which would be the best for display????

Re: Sunfish ??
imo they are a little large for edc, unless you cut a lot of large rope.
they both display great. if you are inclined to carry one, either will do most any cutting task and look good as well.

Re: Sunfish ??
I would have to agree with Johnnie, a little big for the pockets. For display, thats a tough one. I'd get both

I don't think I would use a full size sunfish to EDC. Bulldog did put out a 3 inch about 1993, again in or around 1996 and 2000 and another about 3 inches in 2003 - baby sunfish. They put out some with clip blades in 1996 and in 2003 with regular blades in 2000. These 3 inch baby sunfish would be more pocket friendly and they can be had at fairly low prices.

I really have no opinion on the display part.

Re: Sunfish ??
Chris, that is one of the most impressive displays of Case Classic Elephant Toes I've seen. Looks like it consists of every variation made, including very limited pieces. That collection together would be priceless. Thanks for sharing the photo. I'm saving one each of the GEC Sunfish and will make a display for them as well.

RIP Johnnie Rotten

Re: Sunfish ??
Chris it looks like you still have room for 10 more in that display.
I also noted those YELLER ones sure jump out and say look over here.
What is the black stuff you use to tie the knives to the back board ?? Is each knife tied by it's self ?

Hukk, I know you've dissected some knives, there is a rough rider 3 inch sunfish for $9 at SMKW...Hukk wrote:I don't think I would use a full size sunfish to EDC. i respect your opinion on these, however I am not sure if I am happy making that purchase....

Re: Sunfish ??
As far as I can tell Rough Riders seem to have quality control issues, including the knife blades not being hard enough.
