Really nice old knife Harold
Thats a beauty right there..
I had time to clean this up and oil it, and I'm kind of lukewarm on the knife. I really like the stag, although it is shaved a lot at the sides and not perfectly matched- the back is a lot nicer than the front. The blades are good and sharp, but they aren't all centered perfectly. And they seem kind of thin. That is good for the weight of the knife, but I would be afraid to break a tip if I really worked it hard. They pull is impossibly stiff and the nail nicks are so tiny, i have to use folded paper to open it. That means it has to sit in a case, not get taken out.
That’s a fantastic knife Greg. Thanks for showing it!!!gsmith7158 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 05, 2021 9:35 pm Here's an old Case tested era 5245 1/2 with some pretty sweet stag,
