Nice pair!
I don't see too many #27's that are actually stamped #27. I have about five with every tang stamp from the '60s-2008 and none have pattern numbers.

redrider, yes a Bulldog. I sometimes think the German Bulldog brand is one of the best kept secrets in the world of traditional knives.
Nice one QS!

thanks

Some rich color in those bones. They almost glow.Ivoryman wrote: ↑Thu Oct 21, 2021 4:16 pm Steamboat, that's some great looking wood.
Crazy Canuck, love the M&G. Great looking boys knife.
Great carries Quick S, rrider, Loose Arrow, DM, gsmith.
Great scrolling through them. Keep 'em coming.
Old familiar yellar to me, Northfield 92, Schrade 893. Love the GEC bone and the Jeffinn bone.
Awesome looking blades David.

Awesome!1967redrider wrote: ↑Thu Oct 21, 2021 12:39 pm QS, is that a Bulldog? Super sweet!
For Throwback Thursday I decided to go with the most recent O. Barnett Tool Co. pliers knife I picked up. It was rusty, pitted, missing part of the blade but still all intact with what I think are some sweet old jigged bone scales. Fully functional too. I did some blade re-profiling and superficial cleaning to halt the rust. Still not 100% happy with my shaping of the blade but you can always take more off, putting it back on is the hard part. This is the first 3 line stamp I have seen personally, it has the HHH Trade Mark stamping and Patent number on the pliers/hoof pick handle. It's a HOK in my opinion.

I see how that would get you hooked!Quick Steel wrote: ↑Fri Oct 22, 2021 9:10 am My companion today is the first knife I ever collected.
