Was carrying the old mercator k55k today around the house

Those old Mercators are tanks. I have a smaller slipjoint advertising model from the '50s that's still going strong, and I just bought the full-size Otter-made lockback earlier this year. In my opinion, it's the best $30 one can spend on a knife, especially from someone who tries to avoid Chinese-made knives. The quality is amazing for a knife so inexpensive.

Well, I wouldn't get overconfident. They may be more than adequate for most challenges, but I'm afraid if you ever encountered Mothman.......well, it just may be the end of your woods wanders.

I have read of thru hikers who have completed the AT with nothing more than a SAK Classic.
