Eveled, that is a gorgeous Barlow. Who made that? Is that made by GEC?

Going to use this one all the time. As much as I like Barlow’s I haven’t had one in my EDC rotation, ever, so this will be a real treat for me.

Papa Bones wrote: Mon Jun 14, 2021 5:14 pm I picked this one up over the weekend at a little local roadside fleamarket near me. There"s usually not much there, but lucked up this weekend. It was a combo deal I did with a guy for it and one of those cheapie plastic hand lever vacuume brake bleeders. Figure I've got about $32 in the knife. It's a 2019 Case XX 2209-1/2 barlow. It has strong snap on both blades with some tiny scratches, but figured it would be a nice addition to my Barlow box.

Figured I would also show an updated group picture of my Barlow Box.

Papa Bones, love them all, but in particular the one on the right in the box. That is some fine strawberry bone there.

Here are a few more of my Barlow collection. There is a wide assortment of brand names in my cabinet. I set about collecting the Barlow pattern from as many makers as I could get(or afford). Still have a long way to go.

I am way behind on this thread but there are many wonderful Barlows being shown. Among others, Mark's collection is very fine.

Thanks again! The whale tooth is from the Whaling Museum in New Bedford, MA. My Dad bought it for me back in the mid 60s, when they were legal. The Museum had a basket of them at their Gift Shop checkout -- A family heirloom now! No more teeth for sale, but the Museum has renovated and is a great place to visit.

I'm not sure of the answers to any of your questions.
I haven't taken the time to fully research it yet.
My current speculation is made by Schrade in the 90s.
Of course that is subject to change with further research or comments by others here on AAPK.
As far as where you can buy one, I can't help there either. I bought this on from a buddy of mine that is a knife/antique dealer.
I will be on the lookout for one for you. Sorry to be of little help.

Thank you David. I wasn’t sure if this was a recent reproduction and someone was selling them or if it was one that was made long ago. I have several Russell Green River Barlow’s that were all made by Boker but I could tell this one looks different from them and I like it. Thanks again.
