My EDC for today. I am a little worried that the dog is not quite comfortable enough... as we make the rounds... I need to find a pillow for his head...

Ivoryman wrote: Tue Oct 12, 2021 10:47 pm Thanks and right back at you on the fine looking. Those two are beauties. Especially that H&R. Wow, 80 something years and still looks fabulous.

Thank you all. I do appreciate you.
I'd had the Hen & Rooster a while before I realized it had been buffed. Someone did a pretty good job buffing it & I didn't do such a good job of scrutinizing it. Anyway, I feel okay carrying it. Actually I feel great carrying it. It's as smooth opening & folding as any knife I have, blades are tight & the handles are very well matched. If it was any nicer I wouldn't feel right carrying it.

Carrying a Swell Center Catt jack today. Ebony, swedged, half-stops, pretty full blades but no visible pattern number. This knife has a distinct classic look in my opinion.

For Friday Eve I'm carrying a Keen Kutter Whittler, pattern 3071, half-stops on the pen and coping blades, pinned Federal shield, wedged springs with the main spear riding on both and some pretty sweet old jigged bone scales. Didn't get a chance to look in Sellen's book to see the year it was made to possibly guess who the maker was. It's helping me around the office with Mandarin and box opening chores.
