Case on ebay...are these legit??

Hey Mick,
I'm in no way qualified to tell you if these knives are legit or not, but I would be leary of those fuzzy photos and the fact that he states all sales are final and no refunds. If I'm gonna spend well over a hundred bucks on a knife I don't want to buy a "pig in a poke".

I looked at the pictures. I think the knives are authentic, although a couple blades appear quite worn, possibly reshaped somewhat. And definately cleaned.

I think Remington Collector is right on, the real deal but very worn. I did buy knives like these in my earlier days and probably lost money. It is hard to get a Case collector to buy lower condition on more common knives. MHO

I am not trying to take away from the real topic here but, has anyone else noticed some of the crazy high shipping costs some of these guys on the Bay are charging these days?
These listings are a good example of that. I understand all of the fees involved (listing, final value and Paypal) but good grief, isnt there always a cost of doing business?

We are OK.
We are much more fortunate than a lot of folks in KY.
We did get about 8 or 9 inches of Snow and about 1 inch of ice.
The roads were absolutely horrible and we were snowed in for a couple of days.

We lost power but not really that long. Power went off at about 4:15 Wednesday morning then came back on at about 10 am, then went back off at 12, and then back on around 6:15 pm. It has not gone off since so I feel VERY BLESSED. I know some folks who have not had any electric since the storm hit and won't have any for a while yet.

Have they been able to restore your power yet? I hope so!

Anyway we are praying for all the folks still suffering from the storm.

the knife looks legit but horribly cleaned, obvious ginder marks and the choil was never re cut besides that there aren't much blade width left. These are the cleaning jobs that give "professionally cleaned" knives a bad name, knife could have looked pretty good if it hadn't been butchered first.

The picture of that whittlers main blade tang stamp almost makes the blade look like one of the New Grind blades that Case did on their knifes back in the 80's.
