So this isn't nearly as cool as the Kinfolks, but I just completed a little fixed blade kit that's been in my knife box for about 5 years.It was a kit that I picked up at the Blade Show. Stainless blade, linen micarta scale blanks. It took a lot of shaping and sanding. Epoxied and pinned the handles.I wanted the scales to look like wood, so I sanded them with 220 grit and polished them up with some carnuba wax. Now to get to work on a sheath..

The thistle knives are very nice. Most have wooden handles that someone had to carve out. I have a Henry Sears with a molded (bakelite?) handle.
