Need help to identify old knife

This old knife was my Dad's hunting and fishing knife. I was down my Mom's house and found it in the garage in his old tackle box. As you can see it rusted up pretty bad. I cleaned it up and going to keep it to remember my late Father. I was wondering if any one can tell me what company made this knife. I can't make out the whole tang stamp. What I can see is RN PAL 35.

Could it be a PAL RH36? It was a commonly carried knife during WWII.

I think you are correct it might be RH but I think it is a 35 not 36.

Nev52, your knife is definitely a well used Pal RH 35. These were US GI knives issued to US Navy personnel during WW2 as the Mark 1 knife. Many companies made MK 1 knives during the war and every company's knife had to meet the same criteria yet every company's MK 1 is different than the other in overall appearance. There were literally millions of MK 1s made during the war and many were carried home and used as hunting or general purpose knives, and many were sold off in the late 1950s and early 1960s in Army-Navy surplus stores. When I was a kid around 1960 we used to buy KA-BAR MK 2s in the Army-Navy store for $1.50-$2.00 each and the MK 1s were a buck apiece. Now they are all collectables. Your knife originally came with a hard plastic Navy grey sheath and these can be found for sale online or sometimes at flea markets or gun shows.

Your post kinda got overlooked since it is buried in this other post but welcome to the forum.
You'll need to go into Advanced Search on eBay, put German Eye Brand in the top line and check sold listings to see what The top two knives have sold for. Eye Brands have maintained their values very well. Yours are very nice ones and should be no trouble to sell, if that is your goal. I'm sure several folks here, including myself, would love to have them.
I can't tell much about the knife at the bottom of your photo.

Thank you for your help on this. The knife is rough from sitting in his tackle box so long. but it takes a wicked edge. To me it is a good memory of my Dad. I will pass it on to my son.
