Boys, y'all are showing some might fine knives, especially the haul of Case folding hunters from Case XX 6383!
Feel kinda' sheepish showing up with my little 2 bladed Pal Cutlery with it's little shackle. I found my 1st Pal about 10 years ago down at the Webster Flea Market. It was a small single bladed Pal with a shackle, a little research and I have gathered up a few more but the one that came today came from the shallow end of the bay, $2.99 plus $4.00 shipping. Some of the books call these handles, Pryemite.
Both blades had a few rust spots that cleaned up fairly well with a pencil lead, blades have half stops, great walk and talk. As usual somebody tried to sharpen it and there are a few scratches on the blades.
Still pretty nice for a 70+ year old knife that cost me $2.99.

I've got one and love it!dlr110 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 18, 2021 12:03 am I ordered this Brother 1502G Lockback over a month ago and it just got here today.
It wasn't the USPS that was slow, it was actually on that slow boat from China. The knife is tight and solid. Zero movement from the blade when open. All seams are perfectly matched. The black linen Micarta handles are very smooth so you need to make sure you have a good grip on the knife. Very sharp edge....shaveable. Is that a word? My only concern is the hard plastic red spacers that serve as the liners. Will it stand the test of time and use....???

I got these two J. Bigler knives. They both fold and lock with a liner lock.
I'm impressed with folks who can make good serviceable home shop tools.
These knives fit that description. I'm glad to have them.

Very nice knives you picked up Joe
Like you there’s something about this kind of Craftsmanship that you can’t get from any of the mass produced stuff . Bet they are nice in hand and well made. Thanks for posting those . Have read some of the posts regarding Bigler knives, very interesting !
