bkjenk, You might search knife picks on this forum. We have talked about them in the past.

I usually look for them but have only found ones from companies not in New York which is my focus. The only own one now, it is a custom pic that a friend made for me when he was making knives. Wish I had a few old ones myself. Good hunting.

Re: Knife Blade Openers
Hello bkjenk , I have been collecting knife blade openers for quite awhile now. Glad to see someone else interested in them. The old original ones are very hard to find. You can find modern one and repoductions on ebay all the time. Most Remington and Winchester picks you see are repoductions. They are easy to tell apart. On the repo Winchester there is a line on each side of the word trademark. (---trademark---). On the repo Remington, the word Remington is underlined from about the letter e to the end. With the exception of the Remington Dupont era openers, which have the under line too. They are usually not finished as well as an original. A lot of custom knife makers will make one for you, and they a lot of fun to collect too. Glad to help you if you have any questions. Mark.

you see them occasionally on ebay. I make them from time to time out of stainless steel, my user has turquoise scales.
