Can I post this Blue Point multi tool in here??

I concur, If it has a blade, Scott, post it! I have some Blue Point wrenches and my a mechanic said they were very good quality Blue Point being a respected brand. Blue Point tools do not have a Snap-On name on them. They are the second in quality from Snap-On. The tools are simple, sturdy, functional, and able to fulfill the basic functions with minimum error. Blue Point, on the other hand, does not have the same finish as Snap-On... or so I am told... all that being said... a great find!!!

I rarely find knives at garage sales, but got lucky today, found a USMC Corpsmans Bolo in a box of lawn tools for 5 bucks. The thrill of the hunt keeps me going.

Oh man oh man!!! How sweet it is!!! What a score!!!

I went to a buddy's house this morning and down the street there was a yard sale... I stop in and find a Queen kitchen knife and some cast iron and a nice wooden box for pocket knife storage. I make a "package" deal to buy it, reach in the back pocket... and no wallet so I go down the street knock om my buddies door, he is still a little groggy with a cup of coffee in his hand and I say "Hey, loan me some money" He says "Hunh?" then gives me some money and then I hurry back to the sale. The stuff is still there and I pay the lady and head back to my buddies house. He is still groggy and drinking coffee. He says "You bought a rusty old pot, a worn out knife and a box? What the hell were you thinking?" I said "Look man, this Queen Cutlery... and that is a piece of history"

I’ve never gotten into the collecting cast iron as we have been using several pieces a number of years but I have been known to look for old kitchen knives with good stamps once in a while. Seeing the Queen stamp on your find from today has charged my battery so to speak. I’ll bet that old Queen will take a fine edge and become part of your kitchenware.

Treefarmer, I am going to let me buddy "Montana Tim" sharpen that 'ol Queen up and then maybe a dip in the sink, some soapy water and right into the wooden knife block Most yard sales I go to are a big bust, but this one turned out all right

Looks like a Gerber Mark II.

The Gerber Mark II is a fighting knife manufactured by Gerber Legendary Blades from 1966 to 2000, with an additional limited run of 1500 in 2002, and full production resuming as of July 2008. It was designed by retired United States Army Captain, Bud Holzman, who based the pattern on a Roman Mainz Gladius.

According to one of my books, Dawkin, E.M.Dickinson, Sheffield, England, made knives from 1870 to 1912. So
you have a real oldie, but goodie there. Nice find! And welcome!

Looks like yours was made between 1982 and 1989, Gerber. The angles are the different years of manufacture..

Thanks for the welcome…I was wondering do you know how to tell the age?

There was a web site that you could look up the serial # and learn the manufacture date but a friend said he could not find the website any longer. But it might be possible to find if you looked. I am not sure I have not looked for that site for several years. Without going back to see the picture again it looked like it was a prior to 2000, but did not look like it was from the 60's nor 70's. But I am no expert, I just have a few older and newer MKII and MKI knives.

No objections from me. It has an interesting tool set. And Blue Point, if I remember correctly, is a brand somehow tied to Snap-On.

Once again Dan... You are correct! I have a few Blue Point tools laying around and I always look for them at yard sales, flea markets etc.
