Tom, I really like your 1970 Case 6269! It appears to be bone handled, didn't get to see the blades fully opened. Great knife as well as the other 3.

Told The Monkey "No More Knives This Month" which, if you know anything about monkey mentality, means he immediately began doing his monkey knife rain dance...and, apparently, when it rains, it pours. Here are just a few of the knives that he somehow managed to conjure up this week in spite of my decree (and in total disregard for my empty wallet )
Aurum Red Jigged Wood Lock Back with Fox Blade Etch
KA-BAR Gnarly Stag Cheetah
1981 NKCA Stag Big Equal End Cigar (with Reverse Cameo Shield)
I’ve wanted to try a japanese higo no kami for a while and finally bought one. It was only $13 and change. Initial impressions are good but I knew what to expect; a bit rough around the edges and very simple but solidly made with good steel. I think it will serve me well.

Q, monkey is developing some variety in his taste.
Floyd, The Monkey has no "taste," just an insatiable appetite. And since Case 07W Wharncliffe Mini Trappers are fewer and further between (at least the ones I don't already have), The Monkey must "feed" on something.

Tsk, Tsk, Tsk. ~Q~ you let the monkey get away with it again. You didn't need any of those.
You are 100% correct, jerryd; however, to quote a very wise man who once said...

...since when did "need" become part of the equation?

Here's another one I just received, needs to be re-handled but I just wanted to sharpen it.

You're getting too good at this Loose Arrow! I have about 250 knives coming your way, can you have them ready in a few days?

Got this Kershaw Launch 9 in the mail today. It fires HARD with a loud Thwack! Neat little auto at 3 1/4 inches closed.
I'm over-paranoid about carrying an auto in my pocket so I'm using this belt pouch that I had laying around.

Here it is next to a Buck 112 for size reference.

Cool snappy little knife Rick, congrats! I've been eye-balling their Launch 8 for what seems like forever, but my ongoing import problems have prevented my pulling the trigger. Please let us know how yours performs!
Two new Swiss Army knives joined my horde today. The first isn't anything terribly special: a ruby red Spartan.
The second is something else, though: a Classic SD in "Lime Twist" Alox. It even has a box and paperwork that are far nicer than Victorinox's typical recent offerings!

So far, so good guys. I carried it in that belt pouch all day yesterday and I'm doing the same today. All I've used it for is to open a few boxes here at the workplace but it's been a great box opener. Sharp as heck and it's a good size for opening boxes.
Man, this thing fires with some serious force. I have to be careful not to let the knife jump out of my hand when firing. I read a review in which the author stated that it's "like holding a .22 caliber pistol and pulling the trigger on a .45". That's sums it up pretty good in my opinion.
Had these waiting for me when I got home from work.
The Queen #63 Railsplitter in walnut is from another Railsplitter, our own Rick T. Great guy to deal with! The knife was shipped quick, packed perfectly, and exactly as described. I'm very pleased.
My wife surprised me with the '65 GTO she found while shopping. She's a blessing, for sure!
Take care and God bless,
Steve

Great pics, Steve! Glad to read your enthusiasm. That knife looks good on your table and that GTO is really something. I had a friend who had one of those around 1977 or so. It was his first car. Must have been a '65 too because it looked just like that only it was white. Man, the good old days.

Rick! A fairly good Rule of Thumb is, the smaller the knife the less blade to propel, hence the stronger the action. Keep in mind though, with the large 5mm springs many builders are currently using, the action on bigger knives is also very strong. Enjoy your new knife!
