Anyone have "Short-Line Fever"? It's better than Covid-19

The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.

Not yet. It could probably use some time on an oil stone or a strop, and I see it as more of a specialty knife. But maybe I'll carry it just for the heck of it.

On this fine morning, this beauty of a pocket knife joined my CAMILLUS collection. It's another CAMILLUS 72, 3 blade, swelled center, 3 5/8" closed, short line tang stamp, 1st generation, "whittler" pocket knife. It did not need any cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is. The last picture is of my other fourteen, short-line "72's." The top row are 1st generation "72's." The bottom row are 2nd generation "72's."

Received this one in the mail yesterday. A Camillus Short Line 72 Carpenters Whittler. Has the black composite handles that did not come with a shield. It was a little dirty when I purchased it. Did the warm mineral oil soak last night, then flushed it out with WD-40, and brushed the handles with a nylon brush. Polished the blades and bolsters with Case Paste using a microfiber towel. Blades have great snap and no wobble.

I am looking at Camillus knives on eBay... ::paranoid:: looking for Short-Lines ::paranoid:: I still have "Short-Line Fever" ::mdm:: ... So what is the deal with the crappy pictures people take on Flea-Bay? :x ...I can't see the maker's mark clearly to even tell if it is a Short-Line on a lot of the listings :x
