1950-1964 Case XX 32095 Fish Toothpick

Hey Fine Folks,

Here is a Fish Toothpick. 3 would mean that it should be a yellow composite handle. I'm guessing this was rehandled by a previous owner. A few questions.
1. What kind of wood is this handle material?
2. Anyway Case rehandled this knife?
3. Is that a sharpening stone on the handle?
4. is it the original stone if it doesn't have rounded edges?

I'm pretty sure it has been rehandled, and not by Case. I don't see any pins holding the scales on or even the rocker pin heads. I can't tell from the pictures what kind of material that is, but I can see in the pictures where gaps between the scales and bolsters have been filled with something (look at the last 2 pics). Definitely not a professional job IMHO.

The sharpening stone is for sharpening fish hooks.

Redchord520, your knife is a fishing knife. I'm showing two knives. Top one is a Toothpick.
See the round corners on the sharpening stone my knife. Your knife is older than mine so I can't say if that stone is original. I just don't know.
Although yours is probably recovered it would still be a good working knife if that's the reason you bought it.
The little hole in the cap bolster is for straightening hooks.
