CLEARCUT Cattle knife

I saw this one on ebay and it got my attention. After looking for some info and not being too successful I decided to bid on it.
It looked solid, I made sure it was not a shell handled knife and now I'm pleased and puzzled. This is my 1st knife with this tang stamp. All three, well used blades, have the same stamp:

It has a good feel, strong walk and talk and is 3 17/32" closed length. The clip and the well worn spay have long pulls and the pen blade has a small cut out to access the its' nail nick.

I wouldn't mind carrying this HOK, but since it's the only one I have, it'll probably spend a lot of time in a cigar box unless somebody wants to trade something for it.

Still enough meat on the blades to make a great EDC

It appears Mr. Worthington was dead and gone long before this knife was made.
I found one short thread here on the forum discussing the Geo. Worthington knives. It seems that Mr. Worthington was in the hardware business and the knives with his name on them were made by others, similar to what we know about Moore Maker knives. Clearcut was one of the names on the knives also bearing his name. One bit of information stated that their knives were both domestic and imported. I haven't a clue who made this one or the date they were offered for sale.
Any additions, subtractions or arguments about this knife would be appreciated.

I have a celluloid handled knife with that tang stamp. If I remember correctly, Goins only has dates. 1902-1949.
Later today I will post a picture and recheck Goins.

That knife still has a lot of years left on it! Like you said, it would probably spend most of it's time in a box if it were mine. Still, I would have to carry it on occasion and admire it often. Looks nice!

That was my knife on eBay. I examined the knife carefully and I am quite certain that it was manufactured by Camillus. I collect Camillus knives and have over 200 of them so I'm pretty familiar with their construction. The shield, kind of a double gimp with pointed ends, was commonly used by Camillus before WWII, but the giveaway to me is the handle cover attachment to the scales. Camillus used little pins (two on each end) to secure the handle covers to the scales on a lot of their knives and that's the way your knife is made, they are practically invisible. There are four little pins and the middle of the cover is held on by the main pin.
