What Do I Have Here?

Post by Paladin »

Guys,
I am attaching a some photos of a Schrade Old Timer and there is no pattern stamped on the blade. Nothing seems right on the knife. It is 3½ inches long and has smooth micarta handles which I feel sure are replacements. In working thru our research section, the nearest I can find to a match is a 98OT. It isn't as snappy as I would like but pretty much a mint knife.
Any ideas 'what is what' here?

Ray

Looks like a special series knife that was never finished. Looks legit to me.

I would agree with Glenn. Looks like it was indeed based on the 98OT. A very nice knife, and a real keeper!

Looks like the handles they used on the old Duck Stamp knives. I think they were all dark walnut for the most part. They had the LTD (Limited Edition) stamp too. Not sure of they ever made one with the turkish clip but it could be an end of days knife where they just matched the hafts to a blade set that would fit.
