Art on knife handles(and sheaths)...AGAIN!

Some more art handles from the vault..............
These are all from the Philippines with the possible exception of the last sword with the strange horn handle and the gold inlays in the blade.The handle that looks like the end of an umbrella is actually a goat horn that has been decorated with tiny gold flowers.The barongs are quite large(background is 1 in. squares as usual).

Some more stuff...........
First three pics are either Japanese or Chinese tourist knives made with carved bone handles.Not sure whether the bone is human or animal!
Four & five are a pair of knives from Ceylon(?)maybe.Handles are the ends of horns and the carved figures on the blades show through a little window on the sheaths.
Six through eight is an old Chinese short sword with lacquered wood sheath made to look like tortoise shell.
Last two are a couple of Greek tourist knives.

A tourist knife from Chichicastenango Guatemala.Handle is carved horn.
A pair of camel riding crops with concealed daggers from Egypt with handles carved in the image of Nefertiti in stone.
A Greek knife with an ivory handle in the shape of a swept wing jet fighter and fancy silver sheath with old silver coins dangling from chains.
A Moroccan choora with clear plastic handle decorated with bits of colored paper.
A Moro keris with fancy brass sheath made of meteorite iron and carved wood handle.
A phia-kaetta from Sri Lanka with carved wood handle and silver inlays covering the knife.Dates to the 17th century.

This sword has good quality steel and feels great to swing around in the back yard.

Looks like a very well made piece! Interesting split point design. I've seen jambiyas with up to five points on them but never a split point.Do you have a translation of the ciphers on the blade? The ivory handled jambiya I have has the first verse of the Kuran engraved into the tang and filled with gold.It dates to the mid 17th century.
