Henckels Trick Knife Manufacturing Range

Post by ucrt »

.

Can anyone with Henckel's catalogs, see what years the trick knives were offered? I have web-searched and see suggestions that they were made from the 60's to the early 90's. Thought if they were listed in annual catalogs, there might be a more exact date range.

Also, from what I've read, if the Henckels trick knife is stamped just "Germany" for the origin, it was made by Boker. If it has a "Solingen" or "Solingen Germany" stamping, it was made by Henckels. Anyone know if there is some truth in this?
Hope it's not too dumb for a first posting?
Thanks

The only dumb question is the one not asked, ucrt. ::welcome:: to AAPK, wish I had your answer but someone posted on the Henckels pearl multiblade knife thread that they had a dating source. Hopefully they will see this post too. ::tu::
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

What about asking this way ... has anyone ever seen a Henckels Trick Knife in a Henckels catalog or any old catalog like from a distributor or vendor?
I think their manufacturing was pre-SMKW's but maybe not?
Just wondering if the Trick Knives were just open to anyone wanting 100 (or some minimum quantity) advertising knives with their logo or name on them. I'd imagine with the Henckels name on them they were fairly expensive, especially for something generally given away.
Thanks
