New covers
Who can make new covers for my old imperial diamond edge little pen. The handles have become warped. I know it's not a high dollar knife, but it's been handed down to me from my Dad. First knife I was allowed to look at and "mess" with as long as I didn't cut my finger........guess what happened

Re: New covers
Just based on your pic's I might do a cleaning, polishing and sharpening if needed.
But I know we have some good knife mechanics here that have much more
experience than myself and will give you the best advice.

Re: New covers
The problem with that one is that the covers are stamped metal shell with a colored wrap. You can't replace the covers like in a traditional sense, as the bolsters(end caps) are part of that whole cover assembly, and are just held in place with little tabs at the end that bend over to hold everything in place.
Not sure exactly what you are looking to get done when you ask for "new covers", but wanted to let you know the difficulty with this particular knife.

Oh,ok. I see. I had no idea. This is why I enjoy this site. It's a wealth of information. I guess I'll just keep it clean and oiled. Thank you.glennbad wrote: ↑Fri Jul 09, 2021 1:53 am The problem with that one is that the covers are stamped metal shell with a colored wrap.
