Camillus or ?

This is a Betty Page 3 blade I picked up recently...I was wondering if someone could help me out with a maker and year. On main blade it says high carbon steel USA, no other markings or numbers...I'm guessing Camillus early 60's...

Johnnie, great BP knife.....

Can not be sure but would doubt Camillus!
Very hot up here in Goodyear 117 yesterday. gud luck on getting your info.

Thanks for the input Ron..I had one gentleman tell me it looked like a knife they gave away as a prize at a fair or carnival. But I just can't imagine A knife of this quality not having a brand name...
It was 107 here in Tucson yesterday......I lived in Avondale for about a year in 1987,if I remember correctly Goodyear was just around the corner....Thanks again Ron and try not to melt up there in Goodyear!!!

If you tap the bolsters are they hollow? That looks like a "Shell handled" knife...maybe Imperial. If not hollow...maybe Colonial, or Novelty Knife Co. Might've had an etch, that has worn off, I'Ding the company name...cheaper than stamping, to hold the cost down.

Just speculating here.

This knife has solid bolsters and brass liners,its a really well made knife...It just doesn't feel like a Colonial or NK co. brand knife. but then again I have been wrong before.....

Its a good thing we Arizonians are kinda use to the heat.Can you imagine being one of those poor souls back east??

That's a Camillus - they used the "High Carbon Steel" mark on knives made for Sears. And the tooling and details (blade swedge, pull, etc.) are typical Camillus.

JMHO, but I believe that to be a post-factory rehandle. I have never seen a Camillus picture handle knife, and a lot of amateur knife mechanics have made up picture handle knives out of knives that originally had other handles.

That was always my guess but needed it confirmed...the handle thing is really a surprise,I would have never guessed that.....stay cool and peace out !!!!!!
