This Schrade Walden Everlasting Sharp came in a couple of days ago from GSPTOPDOG's store. Knife was as advertised. Richard is a great guy to work with. Willing to deal, didn't leave me hanging with correspondence, shipped out quick, and packaged up right.
Looks even better in hand.
Nice and tight all the way 'round.
It's in my pocket as I type.

Thanks, Q. Amber is my favorite, especially when it looks like this. Being a stockman makes it right!

Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
I recently worked out a trade with another AAPK member. My end arrived today. He threw in a Wenger watch case opener and a Ka-Bar (1056, if I read the tang stamp correctly) to sweeten the deal and help cull his herd.
But the one that really got me to do the trade was this one. It checked a lot of boxes: military nature, made by one of my favorite manufacturers, and an automatic (I'd been wanting an automatic for a very long time)!
There is also a video featuring the Schrade.

Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
I'm supposed to be selling knives but.......
This arrived today, Rainy Vallotton, custom auto. I consider him to be one of the best auto makers, as are other family members.
Classic Coffin style, Buffalo horn scales, 9 inches open. I had a smaller version of this which I stupidly sold several years ago.
I would love to get one of his art autos but they start at $1500 so that won't be happening.

The one you showed looks like art to me...the art autos must be astounding. Congratulations on a nice pick-up that, I'm sure, isn't going anywhere anytime soon!

I had a look at the art auto. It's something else, though a plainer model would be more to my taste.
Recently QTCut5 declared that some of his Mini Trappers were going up for sale. We struck a deal on one, which arrived today. It's toasted gray bone, which was a surprisingly difficult color to accurately represent in a photograph. I assure you it looks tremendously better in person. It possibly also comes with complimentary visits from the Monkey!

Congrats Dan. I've taken a page or two from that book. Some of my best knives are from Q and that one is a beauty as well. Nice to have a hand me down memento from other AAPK brothers, or sisters, and to me it makes it a little different special being from someone on here. Good looking knife too, looks different in every picture.
