Identification help... Please

Post by Romeknife »

I posted the same topic with photos.... I didn't realize this one posted and I'm unsure how to delete it.

Hello,

I am a collector of many things...but not knives. I am hoping someone here can help me identify this knife which I found recently at a very reasonable price. The patina, Soligen blade, leather work sheath, and red, black, and gold design (German flag?) sparked my curiosity. I am under no illusion this is rare or valuable, but I like to identify the items I find....

Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Best,

Rome Knife.

Welcome to AAPK. Sounds like a German knife made for the tourist. Very difficult to identify any knife from a prose description, so pictures would be needed. Go here viewforum.php?f=98 and scroll down to find instructions for posting pictures from your particular device. Pictures with blades open half-way including clear in-focus pictures of all markings.

Edit: Thanks for the pictures viewtopic.php?f=4&t=71545&p=932496#p932496. See my comments in the other thread where you posted them. Obviously not a tourist knife as I guessed from your prior description. ::facepalm::
