Case 6245, my ole favorite

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Case 6245, my ole favorite

Post by Fishmagician »

This 6245 is one of my Case favorites, a XX three dot, (1997) I carried for about 10 years than gave to a young man who hunted with us in 1995. I used it alot and so has he. The springs are very tight and it snaps to half without a miss and closes the same way. While talking to him on New Years Day he mentioned that he still had the knife and I took it home to give a little TLC..... ::nod::

I have seen them posted as 6240 also. Time for a new eyeglass rx.

I also think it is 49 Copperhead instead of a 45 Cattle. The 2 bladed 45 is a single back spring with a blade at each end.
