Knife on eBay...Anyone familiar with this brand?

I ran across this on eBay http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... tegory=475 and its funny because just this past Saturday a guy at my work was trying to sell me a set of 5 bone handled knives of this same make. He told me that these were somehow associated with Jim Parker and Bulldog Brand. I didnt dispute his claim on the offhand chance he is correct, but I didnt buy them either. I can find no info on them. Is anyone familiar with these?

It is a Bulldog Brand 4th generation, I never bought any becuase I thought the blade etch was darn Ugly. They only used that Standing Dog on the Tang from 1996 to 2000. In 2000 the double dog head came out, so, in 2000 you will see both the standing dog or the double dog head on knives.
4 1/4 inch Premium Stockman.

EDIT: I have seen a couple others and they were from 1997.

Thanks alot Hukk. I had never seen any Bulldog's like that before. I am still fairly new to collecting and reading these forums has been invaluable to me. I learn something new everyday here. I want to thank you again as well as all the others on this board for sharing their knowledge.

I am in the Gray/Kingsport area about once a month, that is were the Boss is from.......Usually come up "Bloody 11W a.k.a. Lee Highway". Maybe we could meet one Sunday for lunch.

HI 9ball. My wife is also from Kingsport. It only takes me about 10-15 minutes straight up 11W to get there. I would love to get together for lunch sometime and be able to talk knives. Right now I mostly just discuss them with my wife and her end of the discussion goes something like this "How much did it cost" LOL. I look forward to getting together with you sometime.

I'M kinda lucky with my Gal (Laura), when I first started buying knife collector books to be in the know for collecting with out getting the shaft my Gal used to read them to me & to be honest with you I really liked that a lot, not only was I gaining information but she was too, after a few years I could hand her a piece that was new to my collection & she would give it a look over then she could tell me everything about it condition wise & I thought that was just too cool

All this took place around twelve years ago & today she is up on most all book & market values as well, now about seven years ago I meet 9ball (Rick) on line right after I won one of his knife auctions on ebay, after a few E-mails back & forth he suggested I pick up the book "Couterfeiting Antique Cutlery" written by Gerald Witcher

& needless to say my Gal read it to me cover to cover & that my knifer friend is really something in my book!!! Even now when when I buy a piece she asks me what I gave for it, then she checks both sides of the handles, checks the blade snap on all blades, checks for pepper spots/specks &/or discoloration on all blades & back springs, checks for handling marks on the bolsters & shield, checks the Tang Stamping & I love it
