Welcome to the forums! Your grandfather's knife looks like it might be one made by White Tail Cutlery. I have a similar model that is permanently affixed to a belt buckle.

Yup, looks like White Tail Cutlery knife. Cherish it. I'd give anything to have a knife from my grandfather or father!!
