Nice score on that 2OT. I'm hoping to find something nice as I start (for the first time in about 3 years) hitting the flea markets and local junk shops. To me, it has to be cheap (which for most American or German bone-handle traditional and most modern not-Chinese tactical knives $20 is cheap; but expensive for many small, simple SAK models or most small American lockbacks), not Chinese or Pakistani; and in decent shape.


It's in better shape than most 2OTs I see. With me, that would have immediately become an EDC after filling that chip, but I can't wait to see what you do with it.

Fished one out of the shallow end of the bay this week. At first I thought it was a WW2 EO General Purpose Utility Knife but on a second look I realized that the blade was not a spear but a clip. Not in the best of shape but still a very sweet old 4 line knife. DSCN6998.JPGDSCN7000.JPG

Floyd, are you sure that EZ Open didn't start life with a spear blade which got ground down to a clip blade.

And here's a 33 short line EZ Open with a spear blade. Compare the nail nick (not a nick but a long line).

you may be correct sir especially with that long pull falling off the end of the blade as it does. I’m prone to agree with you Jerry but nice old bone there Floyd, give her some pocket time.

Thanks to all who commented! I was fortunate to know G.W. Stone and visit with him at his shop so I know he made them to be used, even though his work soon gained a collector following. This one was already carried by a prior owner so I was glad to find one of his knives I wouldn’t feel bad about carrying.

Don’t worry, I won’t abuse it. Life is too short to carry cheap cutlery!
