Thank you for confirming by beliefs Q, it's much appreciated. I too am a fan of Japanese Kershaw's, and your W/T has long since been discontinued so you should hang onto that one, as I'm sure it goes well beyond face value, and, it's a super cool little folder, facts I'm also sure you're already aware of!

You post some of the nicest knives Q, and this one is no exception. I think your knife looks teriffic as-is, but a re-handle of any material will also look good, specially with that sheepsfoot blade. Very cool knife, congrats on a great find!

I liberated a couple of Camillus HOKs from dad the last couple of days. One is an old granddaddy Barlow with some miles on it, but a lot of life left in it yet. The other is a bone handled lock back that screams left over parts knife, but whatever it is, it’s well done and will get some time on the farm!

Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
I received these yesterday. Another Victorinox, this one a Farmer in Green Alox. This one was a SFO for SoCoCut llc. and has the SoCoCut logo on the blade. New in the box.
Also received a Barlow produced by Providence Cutlery Company for Ric-Nor electrical supply. It is unused and like new. It has "Electric Mate" stamped on the bolsters, has a tang stamp of "Ric-Nor" over "Boston,U.S.A.", black plastic shell handles with a bail. The main blade is a Large Sheepsfoot blade and the secondary is a screwdriver blade and has a liner lock. Blades are tight, no wobble and has great snap. This is a cheapie, but a design that I think is neat, plus I like the history behind it.
Ric Nor was an electrical supply wholesaler. The company was formed in 1914 and went out of business in 1966. The knife tang stamps reads Boston, however Ric Nor was primarily located in Charlestown, Massachusetts. The Electric Mate was an electrician knife made for Ric Nor by the Providence Cutlery Company located in Providence, Rhode Island.

Those Alox farmers are tough and handy. Those saws can’t be beat for their size either. I like toting one with me when I’m working in the back field.Papa Bones wrote: ↑Tue Jun 08, 2021 5:37 pm I received these yesterday. Another Victorinox, this one a Farmer in Green Alox. That's a beautiful knife you're waiting for L.A., sure hope USPS finds it for you, it'd be a real shame to have that one sitting lost in some corner of the post office. VERY nice Smitty. I've never been a fan of SAK's, but that one certainly is well equipped, saw and all. Really like the deep blue color and sheepsfoot blade on the electricians too. Great finds!Papa Bones wrote: ↑Tue Jun 08, 2021 5:37 pm I received these yesterday. Another Victorinox, this one a Farmer in Green Alox. I spotted an Electric Mate on eBay. They have an interesting story. I did some temp work for an electrical supply distributor, and I now wonder if they once sold electrician's knives with their name.Papa Bones wrote: ↑Tue Jun 08, 2021 5:37 pm Ric Nor was an electrical supply wholesaler. Cool cat! I, too, hope USPS finds your package. Sometimes I shake my head and wonder about that operation...

Thanks Colonel. I agree, I have been surprised by the saws. I've also got the silver, but decided to add some colors. Got a blue one a while back, and now the green.
Appreciate it Willie.
Thank you Marc. I'm not as crazy about the plastic handle SAKs, but have grown fond of the Alox handles. They are very durable!
Appreciate it Floyd.
Thanks Dan. I know, Colonial, Providence, Imperial, and a lot other Knive Makers have made promo knives for many companies. Might not hurt to do some research.

Just got this one in the mail. It goes along with the matching swing blade that I've had for awhile.

Not a fan of celluloid, but I am a huge Wharncliffe fanatic which is the only reason I got this little 3" Zenith Germany shadow jack with French Ivory covers. (Photos are a bit on the dark side in order to show the "grain" which tends to get washed out and hard to see under proper lighting.)
