Marc and Smitty, thanks for the kind words!
Mark, some beautiful stag! Are those American-made?
Rick, I have issues with FedEx, mostly that the drivers dont don't follow one simple instruction: "do not leave articles on porch!" But they're a lot more expeditious thsn USPS. (By the way, I'll share my initial impressions of the Buck 112 soon.)

A 10 dot Case 6333 basket case. It was super rusty, and needed a bone patch on the pile side,
but she cleaned up nicely. This one will be opening lots of mail and cleaning under fingernails.
Not bad for $5.00 though!
The other is a 1988 Buck 110. It had been used, but not abused. She just needed a little TLC
and a sharpening.I did clean her up though since the sheath had deposited the lovely green gunk
that the like to leave when interacting with brass bolsters. A pretty good woods toter for $30.00.IMG_1708 (2).JPGIMG_1710 (2).JPGIMG_1706 (4).JPGThose 2 old soldiers have plenty of mileage left in em'! Enjoy!

Toomanyknives, Pete, John, and Jerry: all nice pick-ups. Here are mine: five knives, plus a knife roll. Top to bottom: Buck 112 (to be seen later), Victorinox Fisherman, Victorinox Pioneer (thanks, jmh58; your end of the trade goes out on Monday!), Victorinox Farmer in limited edition green Alox, and Victorinox Bantam (red Alox, just like one I previously showed).

Now that I have caught up with all the new deliveries...,
I got this "China" Marbles Canoe. Snap is pretty weak, red something
in the horn that looks like red plastic, there are some gaps between the springs & gaps between the handles and liners that you can see the light through. Not very impressed by this one. It's ok as an EDC I guess. I surely don't need any more of them though.

Looks like rams horn handles, and that's what the box says, so I guess it is. Get some WD40 and flush out the blade wells and operate the blades several times, then flush with the wd40 again. There could be some small particles of machining grit or sediment still between the blades and springs. Oil the joints and work them again. Sometimes this helps improve the snap. I agree with SSK, Marbles as of late has improved on their quality, maybe this one was some older stock?TPK wrote: ↑Sun Jun 06, 2021 3:55 pm Now that I have caught up with all the new deliveries...,

bighomer says he has some really nice ones. My theory is, maybe then send the better examples to the states because that's where Mables is from. And maybe they send the seconds to the rest of the world. The same thing could be done with German brands like Böker or Robi Klaas. The better examples might be sent to Germany while the seconds go somewhere else. I have absolutely no proof of this. I am just guessing & it's just a theory of mine that seems to make sence to me. Or as Smitty said, maybe this is old stock. This tells me, if I am going to buy knives made in China, I'll stick to German brands like Böker or Klaas. They have always impressed me so far.Sharpnshinyknives wrote: ↑Sun Jun 06, 2021 5:57 pmThanks Tom.TPK wrote: ↑Sun Jun 06, 2021 3:28 pmSharpnshinyknives wrote: ↑Sun Jun 06, 2021 12:14 am New arrivals today.
