KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY

I guess you would really call this a Re-Find. You ever go through some of your old stash and find something that makes you say..... ..."What is this???.....'Where did I get this?.......When did I get this?....."Why is my memory failing???" Well, this happened to me today while digging out some stuff.
I have no Idea when, where, or how I come up with this. But.... It's a Parker Cut. Co. single blade figural knife, Still in the box, 2-1/2" closed, Brass handled Indian with a bow. Has a tang stamp of Surgical Steel JAPAN on the pile side of the blade. I think this tang stamp was used from around 1978 to 1990.

Thanks for the comments everyone. Here is today's finds.
Not the "Holy Grail" but they will be good in my collection. I really don't think shops have had
time to rebound after this past year and some of the owners even said as much. Things will
take time for sure.

I'm liking your acquisitions a lot David. Am particularly drawn to the fixed blade and second from the bottom. Can't make out the shield on that one but I like the treatment of the covers.

I'm going to do closeups of all of them tomorrow, but the one you asked about is a Damascus blade with a ceramic handle made by a local artisan in Cleburne, TX. I got it at the Red Horse Antique Mall. The other one you asked about is a brown checker wood handled Remington 40016.

Pretty nice finds, David. I'm not big into Barlows, but I'd make an exception for the Gene Autry. And the little Sears pen(?)...one could probably go crazy just chasing after old knives marked Sears!

Here’s a few picked up to and fro the cabin up by Hayward ! The fillet knives are from Chetek area shop, the one with LCO in oval is from a fellow name ofEd who lives up by us and married a lady from the Ojibwa nation , the LCO , is the Lac Courte Orielles . Picked up the Western and MARTINI for 30 bucks for both ,got 40 in the other .
Then 2 little guys,a old slider for 2 bucks and the unknown pony found in tackle box at the Cabin.
And a Schrade Walden 293 in tube and another unknown pic knife . Seen the old 2 blade in a rusty box of wrenches and got for .50 cents plus tax of course!!!Cleaned up ok, can’t read tang stamp ,any help on the unknowns would be great. Will post the ones in ? In the Q and A section .

Ya done good JP. Awesome find on the 293. Great condition that one. The orange and black one is neat, can't recall if I've seen that mark.

Picked this one up last weekend. Finally had a chance to fix it today. Shield popped out. Glued it up, polished er and good to go. Etch is an added plus and does not appear to have ever been used or sharpened. Anyone know what date range of manufacture? I'm thinking 60's but not a Boker expert.

This was truly a knife find of the day. Cheryl has been in her Mom's (Vera) room trying to clean things out and figure out what to do with all her belongings. Cheryl came across this little knife that her Mom had been hanging onto ever since her Husband (Jim) passed away in 2014.
It's a Schrade Walden NY USA. Jim was a court reporter and he carried this little knife every day to court until he retired in 1991. It's not much, but it holds some special memories.
