@ : Dan & Geo : I didn't really like the Toothpick patern as I started collecting knives a couple of years ago. Then about a year ago I started thinking I might give one a try sometime but you know how that goes. You always find something more important to buy. That was untill this little used Case came up for sale. I am very pleasantly surprised with it! The long pointed Tip bolster gives it a "classy" "dressed up" look to it IMO. I really like it and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one if it comes along.

More than happy to tell you about it. I have two actually. OK one. The other one I gave to my daughter. She took a school trip to London in 2019 so I talked her into buying me a London SAK for Christmas that year. She gets it when I die so it's our SAK so to speak. I gave her or us the other doodad lanyard I have to go along with "OUR" SAK.

OK so I bought them from a SAK collector over here who was selling off his collection. Found them while looking for lanyards. I asked him about them and he said he made them himself. The one you asked about was a zipper pull from a suitcase. He added a small piece of SS chain & a clasp. I added a piece of left over blue paracord.

The second one is a I have no idea and he couldn't remember where he got it. It looks like a Charm from a charm bracelet. He added what he said was some kind of wire covered in red plastic or rubber. On the ends of the wire there are some sort of fancy metal end caps. He said he had made many such cool little lanyards over the years & that he found most of the stuff he used in the "jewelry" section of eBay. It's always good to ask eBay sellers questions.

I hope this helps you or gives you some new ideas. Took some pictures of them to go along with all my running off at the mouth.

Beautiful old bones on both of those, Ivoryman. I especially like the trapper with the grooved bolster and bomb shield...that one ticks a lot of boxes for me.
